Arty Mouse Pop-Up Shop with Woodbridge Emporium
Rain, rain, go away, come back another day! Bad weather didn't defeat us last month as we hosted our second Arty Mouse workshop in collaboration with local independent book shop Woodbridge Emporium.
Due to be held underneath the band stand in Elm Hurst park, visions of a bright sunny Thursday August morning, with children happily sticking and cutting away, soon disappeared as the sun turned to big grey rain clouds. Never one to let a bit of rain dampen his creative mission however, Arty Mouse had other ideas, and so, our first Arty Mouse pop-up shop was officially born!
With a bit of arty magic, the empty shop space was transformed into a creative, colourful hub of activity, with parents and children joining in the range of ‘early learning through art’ activities on offer. From cutting to sticking and tracing to copying, children got busy, with parents able to peruse the range of Arty Mouse books on display. As the rain fell, the creativity soared, with parents commenting on the unique and appealing nature of the activity books.
Thank you to everyone who came along and supported the event, to Jules and everyone at Woodbridge Emporium for helping organise and run the workshop and finally, to the very kind local shop owner who has inadvertently inspired further pop-up events! Watch this space for more Arty Mouse workshops, coming soon. Come rain or shine, we will be there!
